Green Vale's Lower School students topped the charts in the Nassau County Sumdog Math Competition this spring. The week-long, online contest is a fun way to motivate students as they compete against other classes and schools, locally and nationally.

"Sumdog math intertwines math instruction and arcade-style games," explained GVS math specialist Mrs. Noga. "Students progress at their own pace, on their own customized level."

Green Vale dominated the leaderboard in the latest competition, with eight GVS students placing in the Top 10 out of 383 participants.

"We've got what it takes: determination, accuracy, speed, and concentration—the four main ingredients of a successful math team!" Noga said proudly.
