Application Process

The Admissions team is here to assist you through the process. 

NEW for the 2026-2027 school year: 
For candidates considering Pre-Nursery - 8th grade, Green Vale's Admissions Portal will open the first week of August.

Early applicants should submit an application (and complete all their checklist steps) by December 1
Decisions will be mailed out the first week of January.
Applications completed after December 1, will be reviewed on a rolling basis, pending availability in the grade.


Age Requirement:
Applicants, especially in Early Childhood, must meet a  September 1 age cut-off. 

  • Pre-Nursery (age 2 by September 1)
  • Nursery (age 3 by September 1)
  • Pre-K (age 4 by September 1)
  • Kindergarten (age 5 by September 1)

Application Process

1 -  Visit Campus 

We would love to welcome you to Green Vale and share all that our school has to offer.  Private tours are available daily, as well as on select Saturdays and holidays. We also host a variety of special events throughout the year and encourage families to attend.

2 -  Submit an Application

Families may submit an application at any time through Green Vale’s secure online portal. Once your account is created, you will receive a personalized checklist outlining the next steps in the process. Checklist requirements vary depending on your child’s age.

If you are applying for more than one child, simply click the “Add a Student” button in the Parent Portal.

A non-refundable application fee of $75 per student is required.

3 -  Provide Student Records

After your application is submitted, you will be able to upload a student photo and academic records through the Parent Portal, as well as request a formal (confidential) teacher recommendation.

4  - Schedule a Parent Meeting

Getting to know each family is an important part of our admissions process. Parent meetings are held via Zoom and offer an opportunity for us to learn more about your child(ren) and to answer any questions you may have about Green Vale.

5  -  Schedule a Student Visit 

Student visits allow children to experience Green Vale firsthand and spend time getting to know our community.

Visits are offered on select days and vary in length based on the age of your child.

6  -  Apply for Financial Assistance (optional) 

Applicants to Green Vale are considered for admission on a need-blind basis. Families who wish to apply for financial assistance should submit an application through the Clarity Financial platform by December 15. For students who are offered admission, financial aid awards are determined in mid-January and are issued alongside enrollment contracts.

Decisions & Enrollment

Green Vale’s application portal opens on the first Monday in August. Families are welcome to submit an application at any time; however, to be considered in our first Admissions Committee review, all application requirements must be completed by December 1.

First-round admission decisions are mailed during the first week of January, with enrollment contracts distributed near the end of the month.

Applications completed after December 1 are reviewed on a rolling basis, as space allows in each grade.
The Admissions Committee will continue to meet at the end of each month, and families will be notified of decisions shortly thereafter.

Applications for Admission are reviewed on a needs-blind basis. For families interested in Financial Aid, the application on Clarity on November 1, and must be completed by December 15. 
Financial aid awards will be communicated to the family by mid-January and reflected in the student’s enrollment contract.
Applications submitted after December 15 will be reviewed on a rolling basis, subject to available funds
