As part of Green Vale’s Parent & Alumni Speaker Series, Upper School students had the opportunity to hear from Kelly Florio Kasouf ’96—current GVS parent, accomplished alumna, and Chief Marketing Officer of a leading e-commerce brand Kassatex, a premium home goods brand known for its luxury bedding, towels, and bath accessories.
With an impressive career at the intersection of brand storytelling, digital strategy, and creative direction, Kasouf walked students through the real-world tools and trends that shape modern marketing. Her talk explored everything from paid influencer campaigns and SEO strategies to the importance of collaborations and the role of data in targeting the right audience. She emphasized how building brand identity isn’t just about visuals, but about creating authentic, engaging stories that resonate with people—whether through micro-trends like GRWM (“Get Ready With Me”) content or viral gifting campaigns.
Kasouf also brought students behind the scenes of product development, sharing how a brand vision evolves from moodboards and CAD designs to a final collection on the market. Through interactive slides and relatable examples, she encouraged students to think critically about the content they consume—and consider the many moving parts behind what grabs their attention online.
Her visit was a unique opportunity for students to connect classroom learning with real-world application and hear directly from a leader in the fast-moving world of digital marketing. The presentation not only highlighted career pathways in marketing and media, but also demonstrated the impact of creativity, strategy, and innovation in today’s consumer landscape.
Green Vale is grateful to Kasouf for returning to campus and inspiring the next generation of thinkers, creators, and leaders.
