While our official chartering date is January 12, 1923, we proudly celebrated 102 incredible years of Green Vale on Jan. 10! Our community came together in true GVS fashion to honor the legacy, traditions, and bright future of our beloved school.

The festivities began with an all-school assembly in the Watters Center Gymnasium, where students, faculty, and staff gathered to reflect on the history and enduring spirit of Green Vale. This year’s theme of Respect was proudly on display—not just in the Founders Day shirts worn by students, but in their actions and attitudes throughout the year. From the way they support one another in the classroom to the way they lead with kindness and inclusivity, our students continue to embody the values that make Green Vale such a special place.

Of course, no Founders Day would be complete without a little friendly competition! Our 8th Graders took center stage in an exciting Blue vs. Gold tug-of-war match, bringing their energy and team spirit to one of the day’s most anticipated events. A special congratulations to our Founders Day poster contest winners: Marcus (2nd), Eva & Sydney (6th), whose creative designs beautifully captured the essence of this meaningful day.

As we look ahead to the future, we do so with deep appreciation for the traditions that have shaped us, the respect that strengthens our community, and the shared commitment to learning and growth.

Happy Birthday, Green Vale—you’ve never looked better! Here’s to many more years of excellence, connection, and school spirit!
