The library was enlarged at the time it was moved to the main building in September, 2001.
Students use the library on a regular basis and are taught by a certified librarian during regularly scheduled classes. Students are encouraged to use both facilities independently during the school day and during the 8:00 - 8:25 a.m. period before the official start of the school day. Parents are urged to use these fine facilities and to volunteer as helpers if library work is of interest.
Reading is a top priority at Green Vale. The libraries provide extracurricular reading activities such as Book Buddies, Pajama Storytime, Mother-Daughter Discussion Group, the Caldecott Club, and Lunch Bunch.
