Green Vale Students Respond to Needs in Haiti

FRIDAY, FEB. 19TH
DINNER AND A MOVIE NIGHT: 4:30 to 6:30 $10 for dinner and a movie. This evening is for students in grades 3 – 6. The film will be “UP.” The 9th grade Student Council will do the cooking and serving. The proceeds will be sent to legitimate organizations aiding the people of Haiti.
WEDNESDAYS during Bagel Sales:
RIBBON SALES: Ribbons designed to represent the Haitian flag will be made by the Upper School Student Council and sold for one dollar at Wednesday bagel sales. The proceeds will be sent to legitimate organizations aiding the people of Haiti.
WEDNESDAY, FEB. 10TH, 7:55 – 8:20 am:
LOWER SCHOOL BAKE SALE: The LS Student Council is teaming up with some LS parents to host a bake sale to benefit the people of Haiti.
SOON TO BE IN PLACE AND ONGOING:
COIN COLLECTION CONTAINERS: The Upper and Lower School Student Councils are working in tandem and will soon have large clear containers placed in each of our 3 main buildings - EC, LS, and US. In these containers we will collect coins.
DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED: HUGS AND KISSES; The Upper School Student Council is using Hershey Kisses to create “Hugs and Kisses” packets to sell to Upper School Students.
APRIL
BRACELET SALE: The Lower School SC is making bracelets in both Haitian and “Earth” colors. These bracelets will be sold for $2 each. The proceeds will be divided between organizations supporting Haitian rebuilding efforts and those protecting the earth.
Both councils have other activities in the works and will let you know all about them as soon as they are structured.
